When Loraine took over our loft bedroom we were forced to move our bed downstairs, into our living room. Instead of spending thousands on a new sleeper sofa I came up with plan to hide our bed. I designed and made a custom fitted wool slip cover, sewed a couple cushion slip covers out of left over wool/linen material and covered our bed pillows in linen, creating a perfect solution to our "bed in the living room" problem. I also built in some bookshelves, and made some simple linen curtains and hung them by a basic dowel supported on a couple of old iron coat hooks. Almost everything in this space I made with recycled, repurposed, or found materials.
